Robert H. Bondeson (Deceased June 29, 2018)

Veteran of "B" Battery 1/83rd Artillery 1969-1970.

ROBERT H. BONDESON 71, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Judith-Ann Hayes-Bondeson of Greenville. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Herman and Virginia (Barone) Bondeson. Mr. Bondeson was a health & safety officer for 10 years and worked for the United Alliance Services Corp. for 1 year. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War attached to the 83rd Artillery unit. He also retired from the RI Air National Guard, 143rd Civil Engineering Squadron after 21 years of service. Mr. Bondeson was a member of the Beaver Club, the Operating Engineers Union, Local 57, the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Vietnam Veterans of America.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, he was the step-father of Michael P. Hayes of Greenville, Colleen L. Hayes-Hilton and her husband Jeff of Glocester and the late David J. Hayes, Jr. and his wife Laurie Hayes of Johnston. He was the grandfather of Shawn Munsen and his wife Alycia, Michael Jordan and David J. Hayes, III. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 9-11AM in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., Greenville, with a service beginning at 11AM. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 will be appreciated.
