ROBERT M. POWELL, 60, of Flatwoods, Ky., husband of Marilyn A. Ritter Powell, died Sunday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was senior piping designer, URS. Graveside service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Bellefonte Memorial Gardens, Flatwoods. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Russell Building Fund, 901 Ashland Dr., Russell, KY 41169. Bob was in “C” Battery, 4th Gun Section, and served as the Supply Clerk (after having his eardrums damaged). He served from 1970 to 1971 – coming home in May of 1971 to Flatwoods, KY where he lived with his wife until his premature death in 2008 due to diabetic complications.
