Earl Ray Fountain (January 27, 1944 to March 25, 2015)

Veteran of HQ Battery 1/83rd Artillery 1966-1967.

U.S. Veteran Earl Ray Fountain passed away Thursday, March 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Fountain, the son of the late Hezi Jackson Fountain and Willie Mae Bearden Fountain was born in Douglasville, Georgia on January 27, 1944. He was retired from Packaging Corporation of America, a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda Cheryl Fountain; children, Kelly R. Fountain, Kevin R Fountain and Billy S. Fountain; brothers, Gene Fountain and Lance Fountain; sister, Faye Latham; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
