He was the son of the late Edward and Jennie Garczynski Ostrowski. Surviving Larry are his wife of 51 years, Joann M. Bernhardt Ostrowski of Hamilton Square; son, Larry E. "Little Larry" Ostrowski Jr., and daughter, Christine "Chrissi" A. Bentz both of Hamilton Square; granddaughter, Carlene A. Bentz of Hamilton Square; three brothers, Edward Ostrowski of Delano, PA, Robert Ostrowski of North Trenton and Joseph Ostrowski of North Trenton; uncle, Lawrence "Butch" and wife, Rose Garczynski of Grants Path, OR; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Born in Trenton, he was a life long Trenton and Hamilton Square resident.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam assigned with the 83rd Field Artillery. He was currently employed for the past 20 years as Maintenance Manager at the Lifetime Brands Distribution Center in Robbinsville. "Big Larry" as he was affectionately known loved spending time with his granddaughter, Carlene and as a result they had their own special bond. He taught her to build and fix many things as well as assisting her with her homework and teaching her how to push mom-mom's buttons.

Larry enjoyed tending his home garden and encouraging his worms to grow and aid his garden. Another one of his favorite pastimes was spending time outdoors on beautiful days, he also excelled in woodcrafting. Larry respected and supported his extended family at work and had a special place in his heart for them.

Due to the current temporary regulations in our state and nation, a private family service was held for the immediate family at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., Trenton, NJ. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
