Loyal Yocum (Deceased December 31, 2012)

Veteran of "A" Battery 1/83rd Artillery 1969-1970.

Funeral services for Loyal W. “Chicken Man” Yocum, 64, of Clarksville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at E. M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Dec. 31, 2012, at his home.

He was a native of Cincinnati, and was owner/operator of Wanye’s Drywall. He was a sponsor for AA and was a member of the American Legion and The Token Club.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly A. Yocum; daughter, Jacqueline S. Cleek, of Pekin; father, Lloyd Stewart, of Clarksville; sisters, Jewell D. Waller, of Jacksonville, Fla. and JoAnn Lynn, of Charlestown; grandchildren, Frank Mann, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Kilijha Smith, of Clarksville, Ashley Smith, of Clarksville; and Diane Schocke, of Salem; and six great-grandchildren.

Loyal was preceded in death by his mother, Rosabelle Stewart.
