Otto (Ed) Erbacher (Deceased November 24, 2018)

Veteran of "C" Battery 1/83rd Artillery 1966-1967.

Otto Edward Erbacher, 73, of Wooster passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was born May 8, 1945 in Cleveland, OH to the late Otto E. and Theresa (Duta) Erbacher and married Barbara Henry on June 14, 1973; they just celebrated their 45th anniversary. 

Ed honorably served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-67. He was employed by Sealand Dometic for a number of years, retiring in 2008. Ed was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed reading and being in the great outdoors; hiking was one of his favorite pastimes. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Jonathan Erbacher and his wife Caitlin McHugh of Minneapolis, MN; a sister, Beverly (George) Box of Summerville, SC; and a brother Robert (Jill) Erbacher of Dallas, TX and other family members.  

His parents preceded him in death. 

A gathering with a brief memorial service followed by a meal and a time of fellowship will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 46 Co. Rd. 2575, Lakeville, OH 44638 with Pastor Angel Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice Wooster, ACS/ Relay for Life Mohican Valley or St. John’s Lutheran Church building fund.  Schlabach Funeral Home is assisting the family.
