Ronald Eugene Morris age 74 of Osawatomie, KS died Tuesday January 14, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

Ronald was born June 13, 1950 in Princeton, KS. He was born to Leo Eugene and Wanda Jean (Sweet) Morris. Ronald attended Garnett & Osawatomie schools.

On December 10, 1968, Ronald enlisted into the United States Army. He was sent to Vietnam in 1970 where he was stationed at Gia Le Combat Base. Then he was honorably discharged in 1972.

Ronald married Fenevia Lyons in Osawatomie, KS. The marriage later ended in divorce. Then in 1976, Ronald and Peggy Peterson were united in marriage. He gained a step daughter Sally and then the couple together had three children; Ron Jr, Arthur and Wanda. They made their home in Osawatomie.

Over the years, Ron worked for the City of Osawatomie and City of Paola driving trash trucks. Then he was an installer at Jack’s Glass shop in Osawatomie. Ron worked for Killough Inc in Ottawa, Reno Construction, Martin Marietta and Koss Construction as a Heavy Equipment operator. In 2018, Ron retired from Koss Construction.

In his free time, Ronald enjoyed woodworking, traveling, fishing, and working on cars. The number one thing in his life were his grandchildren. Ronald was a member of the Paola VFW.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step father Ray & Wanda Martin and one brother Bob Morris.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Peggy of the home, children; Ron Morris Jr of Osawatomie, Arthur (Jeanie) Morris of Topeka, KS, Wanda Morris of Paola, KS and step daughter Sally (Duane) Smith of Gardner, KS. Grandchildren; Gracie, Anastasia, Mariah, Peggy, Arthur Jr, Claudine, Dallas, Destiny, Derek, and Daven, two great grandchildren; Creed and Chanler. He is also survived by other family and friends.
