Mr. Burton was born May 17, 1949, at Omaha to Robert and Helen Burton.

Survivors of his immediate family include three daughters, Stephanie Burton of Chicago, Allison Burton of Kansas City, Mo., and Mikala Norgaard of Grand Island.
