Tom Weil (Deceased February 19, 2005).

THOMAS W. WEIL, 59 years of age died on Wednesday, the 19th of February, 2005 in Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. He died as a result of a heart attack while jogging in Memorial Park near his home. He was formerly of Orchard Park and Elma, NY. He graduated from Iroquois Central High School in 1963 and from The University of Miami in Ohio in 1968 with a degree in Business and he served in an Army Artillery unit in Vietnam for two years.

After military service he joined the family lumber firm of J.C. Weil, Lancaster, NY. He changed the focus of the business as the times changed and became involved in the Oil and Gas business in Western New York and Pennsylvania. He drilled many gas wells locally and as his business expanded, he moved his base of operations to Houston, Texas in the late 1990's. He was President of Mississippi River Gas, LLC, a utility in Jackson, Mississippi. President of Weil Resources, and President of J.C. Weil Company. He had many other interests in exploration and production of gas wells.

He was a member of the Houston Rodeo Committee, a charitable organization helping disadvantaged children go to college. A life member of the Hunter Club of Houston, a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and until recently a member of the Elma Conservation Club. He was also a member of the Elma Methodist Church. Mr. Weil is survived by wife Kathleen W. Weil; daughter Juliana M. Weil; sons Nicholas W. Weil, Thomas J. Weil and Travers J. Weil; sister Leita W. Reed and husband Timothy J. Reed; brother Henry T. Weil and wife Barbara. Friends are cordially invited to visitation with the family from seven until nine o'clock in the evening the Thursday, the 24th and Friday, the 25th of February 2005 at the Kenneth Howe Funeral Home in East Aurora, NY (716-652-3880). Funeral services will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 26th of February 2005 at Elma Methodist Church, 2991 Bowen Road in Elma, New York 14059. Interment will follow in the Elma Cemetery in Elma, New York.
